Hi Doug
So having interviewed Stanley at length today, we have come to the following conclusions:
Stanley loves his job at the Resort and can hardly wait until next year when all the people come to see him again. He so loved spending nights with the different families and he loved sleeping in different rooms. Story time with Michele in the evenings was one of his favourite events....sitting around the firepit with the children, listening to Michele tell stories and of course THE SMORES!!
Stanley needs a winter coat and he would love to have a pair of snuggly boots. We talked about hats and mitts and he would like to have a hat that would tie under his chin and he wants a tassel as well. This is clearly not a five minute shopping trip we are heading for.
He has decided that he will spend most of the winter living with me and the Corgis’ Spot and Jack. But he is also heading to Toronto to the Royal Winter Fair with Dannie Murphy who is going to be there riding her two ponies and a horse. He feels like a drive to Toronto will be exciting because he has never done that before and he is also happy to drive along with Ainslee the coach when she transports the horses.
We will do some pictures of Stanley on his winter adventures and send them off for everyone to see.
Kind Regards,
Audrey Firth

Stanley the Bear is almost done his first season at Stanhope. It has been a great time and he has met many wonderful children and adults alike. He is still keeping busy here waiting for some more kids to come say hi.
Also Stanley has a big decision to make soon about what he is going to do this winter. We'll let him think on this a little more and in the meantime he keeps us company in the Main Lobby. Our front desk agents are never lonely here!
Hello Douglas,
Your friend Stanley Bear here, just returning from an excellent adventure with the Kolybaba family. They whisked me away to the Burlington Amusement park this morning! I played with the little boy, Nathan, and his sister Ryley in the ball pit and they took me down the slide. Nathan and his Daddy went on the go carts, but I didn't meet the height restrictions to be able to ride...instead, I had my photo taken in the drivers seat, and then Ryley and I watched from the stands! I supervised a rowdy round of mini golf, then sat in the parking lot at The Kitchen Witch Tea Room because I was too afraid to go inside!!! The kids called me "scaredy bear!" and brought me the crusts from their panini sandwiches.
I think the Kitchen Witch put a spell on the sandwich crusts, cause I got very sleepy for the rest of the day. I was cozy in my seat belt. I nodded off and kept waking up momentarily in various parking lots...the Eagles Glenn Golf course, Cavendish Boardwalk, Tourist Mart, Cavendish Beach, Eagles Glenn Golf course again, Rachael's Restaurant....next thing I knew, I was home at the lobby!
The Kolybabas say they are having a wonderful time in PEI and staying here on the resort, and they sure had a fun time with me today, even if I did turn out to be a bit of a sleepyhead!
Photos to follow!
See you soon!
Love Stanley
