The Downtown Zando

Excellent apt!

Pros: The location is superb! I loved the big windows and the kitchen was really nice. I didn't realize that there would be a second bed in an alcove, so that was a nice surprise!

Cons: The only thing that would be nice is if there were cooking utensils (soup spoon, flipper, etc...) and the building front door was broken and I had to wait for someone to let me out twice.

Pros: The property managers were really accommodating of last minute request to check in early, which we really appreciated. The apartment is well equipped with modern appliances. Really detailed instructions (including pictures) are provided on how to access the property and use the kitchen and laundry appliances. Restaurant recommendations were provided - we tried one and it was exceptional.

Very central close to all the action

Pros: Very central. I got an upgrade which was appreciated. Ok supplies in the kitchen. Grest with airconfitionning in a heat wave

Cons: Many spider webs on the windows. The clealiness was not perfect with spots on the carpet and dirty stove top. Also the neighbourhood is invaded by homeless and or drug addicts. Not the most secure.

Perfect location, price and apartments!

Pros: One of the best hotels I’ve stayed at, brilliant customer service, let us check in early and check out late for free, the apartments were spotless highly recommend!!

Cons: Nothing… Perfect stay!

Excellent location for exploring Montreal. Reasonable accommodation.

Pros: Location was excellent. Easy walking distance of everywhere and the Metro also close by. Large supermarket in easy reach. When I messaged the property to say we were unable to cook due to lack of suacepans etc. items were delivered that afternoon. Free taxi service from the airport was a huge plus

Cons: Sadly, just round the corner many 'down and outs'. A little un-nerving. The entry instructions and flat number were only sent after we were on our flight from the UK. When we arrived we eventually got into the building by being let in by someone going out. Then a young couple let us use their phone to get our flat number and entry code. Very disconcerting late at night and after a long journey. Kitchen was poorly equipped when we arrived. This was partially recified but it still needs microwave cookware, more cutlery etc. Could have been cleaner. I dropped an earring and grovelling around to find an earring always shows somewhere at its dustiest!

Great!

Pros: Beautiful building. Modern yet cozy living space. Clean linens and towels, they provided detergent for washing clothes. There are window stickers for privacy as we were on the ground floor. They also include tea and coffee (we didn't use them but it's nice to have for a longer stay)

Cons: In a bit of a rough area, there were people either on or doing drugs on basically every street near the building, but they weren't bothering us or anyone else. Also could have been a bit cleaner (there were a bunch of dead fruit flies in the corner on the floor) but it didn't bother me much since I booked on very short notice (I was left stranded by another host, and the Zando kindly accommodated me that same day)

Nicely decorated apartment

Pros: Great little apartment, near to historic area, shops and bars etc. This could almost be a 10 if there had been a few more fatalities, see below

Cons: Only two things pillows, no hand towel, no chopping board and the hairdryer didn’t work

Downtown Gem

Pros: The condo was fresh, clean, bright and as pictured. Parking at UQAM was cheap and easy.

Cons: NA

Great location, comfortable appartments for access to that Montreal has to offer.

Pros: Located at short walk to old city (5 minutes) , right next to China town, arts precinct and shopping and night life. Restaurants and food close by. Convenient store close by too for supplies. Comfortable unit with everything needed for a short stay. Having washing machine was great for us to catch up on clothes washing. Kitchen was great, everything you needed.

Cons: Not initially familiar with coded self access but once we figured it out, easy to use PIN codes to get in and out of building and room. We would have liked larger and 2 pillows each and needed more toilet paper.

Excellent location and great stay !!

Pros: Location, facilities and room size, perfect for small family or couple.

Cons: Some more focus on kettle and toaster cleanliness would be great.
