A lovely place to stay

Pros: Beautiful property, very friendly reception and wonderful food.

Worth the detour to stay in this lovely house, especially if dinner is available

Pros: Lovely old, quirky house. Large bedroom with doors opening onto the garden. Nice living area to relax in. Very quiet and peaceful. Very friendly and helpful staff and good breakfast.

Cons: We went in May when there were lots of mosquitoes, but the staff provided spray!

Pros: I loved the rustic country feel of the place. We felt very comfortable and welcomed. The food was amazing, filling and tasty!

Cons: The only two things I didn't like were the noise above when we were trying to sleep. This was due to being downstairs and the kitchen above us. After the dinner guests left and cleanup was happening, the sound of footsteps back and forth was loud above our heads until after 11pm. The other thing was the length of time we waited in between services for dinner. We arrived at 6:30 pm and finished our desert after 9pm.

Pros: From the minute we parked our car we were greeted by serenity and a smiling face. The bed was great. The food awesome.

Cons: The biggest complaint we had was that the wifi did not work in our room but everywhere else. And considering we were there to relax and enjoy it really isn't that big a complaint at all.

Pros: Great place and great dinner! It was my second time and I will be back! Thank you very much for everything

Great! Almost perfect, With some serious adjustments it would be an oasis...

Pros: Mostly everything was great at La Mara! There was a welcoming warmth and a relaxed ambiance that made you feel at home from the moment you stepped into the place. It was almost like entering into an enchanted universe of vintage memorabilia, like taking a stroll down memory lane. It certainly has the ability of taking you elsewhere and creating a disconnect from the hustle and bustle of the modern day.

Cons: When up in the room we were provided, we noticed a fair amount of bugs from ants to flies to lady bugs and other things. Mind you, this auberge is located in the woods, so that would be expected. However, we were visiting in late February, so it was rather unsettling to have to kill so many critters in such a short stay. Also, the soundproofing of the place is ZERO. The was a game room right below our bedroom and we could make out every single word of every conversation taking place downstairs. Every roll of the dice was so obvious, we could almost make out the results of each roll!

Pros: Super petit déjeuner, environnement très calme, belle chambre confortable.

Cons: La serrure pourrait être modifiée afin qu’on puisse fermer la porte de la chambre sans besoin de la barrer à clef lorsqu’une des deux personnes sort. Le matelas pourrait être rajeuni, un côté du lit était affaissé.

Pros: L'emplacement est parfait, loin du village et du bruit. Le petit déjeuner était vraiment délicieux!! Un endroit champêtre, convivial! C'était propre!

Cons: Puisqu'il n'y avait pas l'air climatisé dans notre chambre, on se disait qu'il serait préférable de ne pas louer en pleine canicule! On aurait bien aimé profiter du dehors avant le souper, mais l'endroit était déjà utilisé par un groupe de personnes. Mais sinon, on a vraiment aimé cet endroit!

Auberge exceptionnelle. Tout était parfait: le lieu,l’accueil,le confort,les repas.

Pros: Le lieu est magique, en pleine Nature. La décoration est super cosy. Les repas sont délicieux. C’était parfait.

Pros: Chambre spacieuse et confortable. Bon petit déjeuner avec une superbe vue sur le jardin.
