The SFX Old Port

Pros: Beautiful decor, amazing location, responsive staff

Cons: No floor mat at the entrance for wet boots.

Overall good stay. Would stay again, but would like to see issues fixed

Pros: Location was fantastic and quiet. We were only about a block from Notre Dame. We felt like we were in a safe area. Apartment was cute and enough room for the 5 adults. A 20ish minute walk to the Bell Center.

Cons: 1 of the 2 bedrooms had no window and there was a door to the shared hallway with the other units. One bedroom door and the upstairs bathroom door didn’t latch…awkward when staying with your adult children. Shelf in fridge was dirty and there were hairs on the sheets in the bedroom with no windows and dead bugs in the window of the other bedroom. Pullout wasn’t comfortable for sleeping and we had to get a blowup mattress. The thermostat was upstairs and the upstairs was warm and the downstairs was cold. Lots of cold air coming from around the window in the kitchen

Had a great stay

Pros: The location is superb, property was clean and furniture comfortable

Cons: You could hear people talking and passing by from the master bed.

Our stay was wonderful!

Pros: The room was clean & spacious, loved having 1.5 bathrooms, worked well with 4 woman, the location was excellent.

Cons: We’re in our 70’s so the stairs were a little much but when we arrived a very nice man helped us with our luggage.

Excellent location

Pros: The appartment was lovely, spacious and well-designed, and the bed was large and very comfortable. It's location was perfect. Just a stone's throw from the river, and right in the middle of the Old town...it couldn't have been better. Moreover, there were lots of lovely little bistros around for food. Communication was good and quick via email (we never saw or spoke to a human being!), and entering the appartment was easy with the entrance code. The kitchen was quite well kitted out but there was no kettle.

Cons: What we didn't appreciate was customer service. The bathroom door squeaked and the plug in the bath didn't work, so after a long day of walking, a relax in a hot bath was unavailable. We complained to the company, and as said above, communication and promises to fix the problems were quick after they received my comments, but in fact nothing was done about it. They told me that they'd ordered a plug and that somebody had come to grease the door, but as the door still squeaked, I doubt very much that this was the case, so if you have a problem, don't hold your breath for a quick fix. Moreover, there are steep steps on entering the building, so for anybody that has mobility problems, this may be problematic. Also, the walls are very thin, and the floorboards above us squeaked, so one night was badly interrupted by the people above us

Pros: The location is very central, the room was very clean and spacious. Kitchen was very big and there was good seating area. Bed very big, clean and felt comfortable for a good night sleep.

Cons: No staff, late night entrance blocked by some local folk smoking weed and so felt slightly nervous opening door on keypad while carrying luggage as unsure if they would follow in. Never saw any staff despite ringing bell few times

Great for sightseeing of Montreal

Pros: Large bedrooms and kitchen/lounge. Central location great for seeing Montreal. Good value for money would book again if ever in Montreal

Cons: 2 steep stairs to accommodate for an elderly couple but people in Montreal were so helpful and a resident gave us a hand

Close to amenities

Pros: Location, parking comfortable beds facilities cleanliness communication

Cons: Parking instructions, noise at night, stairs handrails were quite unstable, floor in bedroom was quirky.

It was a very good place, I would pass by again, but not in the last floor

Pros: Access, location, space, interior design, equipment, confortable beds, natural light, high ceiling.

Cons: There was a continuous noise (vibration) at the higher level coming from chillers, pumps, or generators.

You can’t get more central

Pros: Beautifully clean and spacious on two floors So convenient for Montreal’s downtown.attractions and eateries. Free parking was a real bonus.

Cons: Two steep staircases to be aware of.
