A home away from home in Montreal

Pros: Tony takes great care to make his guests feel at home. He'll explain his city to you and give you all kinds of tips where to go and what to do; he'll cook a wonderful breakfast for you in the morning; and he'll always be happy to have a chat, tell some stories or learn something new from his guests. Instead of doing the minimum he could get away with, he helps you out where he can and provides the kind of experience I'm sure he would enjoy himself when traveling. He also keeps the place super clean. Plus if you like meeting people, you can socialize a bit around the breakfast table. In summary I would say don't expect hotel vibes, more \

Cons: Nothing comes to mind, I'd be very happy to come back!

Pros: Helpful host with many tips. Good location, short metro ride or a 40 mins walk from downtown (walk by the Chinese Channel is nice) Nice breakfast cooked on the spot and served by the host. Free public parking on the street

Pros: The place is well situated with metro nearby. quite and nice neighbourhood. I have the room in the basement, but with own shower and toilet. Overall very limited daylight, but cool and cosy while it was super hot outside. So not much to complain about. The owner, Tony, was super friendly and considerate, and gave a lot of helpful recommendations for sightseeing and restaurants. I had very nice chats with him. Breakfast was really good and different every day.

That Breakfast Club is simply great!

Pros: Tony is simply an amazing host. He takes time when you get in to explain Montreal in a (long) nutshell. Most of that fly over your head until later when for example you're enjoying the noodles at the recommended Star Noodles restaurant. But the most amazing thing about Tony's place is the breakfast - he makes effort to make some great food for everyone; then tops it by making the conversation at the table into simply the most awesome interaction. Simply great.

Cons: Nothing really - its a shared facility after all.

Pros: Tony is an outstanding host and his helpfulness and advice about Montreal were invaluable. He also makes a wonderful breakfast! The area is also very nice, not as busy as the city centre but easy to reach by metro.

Great start for our Canada vacation

Pros: Very comfortable room. Great location, quiet neighborhood, but very close to the metro. Also very close to a nice playground. Tony prepared a different tasty breakfast every morning. He is a very friendly and attentive host. He gave us many good sightseeing tips and made our stay in Montreal even more enjoyable.

Cons: It was not clear to us that the bathroom is shared with other guests. This wasn't a problem in practice, but it could be pointed out more clearly in the description.

Loved the personal experience of this interesting and well-travelled host.

Pros: Breakfast was delicious and tailored to my small appetite. Perfect location within walking distance of two metros, the family I was visiting and the vibrant Atwater market neighbourhood. Close to highway access if you're driving which I wasn't but may do in future. Host Tony is the most welcoming and personable host you can imagine. Appreciated the bottled water in my room and the hairdryer. Nice small details.

Cons: Can't think of anything.

Pros: Great location, friendly owner and nice breakfast provided every morning.

Cons: Own bathroom would have been nice, but no big deal.

Charming, personable host. Wonderful breakfasts.

Pros: Tony is a charming and knowledgeable host. We enjoyed leaning about Montreal and in particular the local area. We were given great tips about eating in the local cafes and visiting local markets. This accomodation is within walking distance of a metro station. Tony prepared a lovely breakfast for us each day and we were able to interact with other international travellers.

Cons: Our bedroom was on the snug side but had everything we needed.
