Auberge Handfield et Spa

Worth it mainly for the river view

Pros: The rooms with a river view are very nice. Good breakfast. The spa is basically a jacuzzi but it was nice on a sunny day

Cons: First I got a room with a street view, which was noisy and with a bit of bad smell. So for +20$ I changed to a room with river view which was much nicer. Pillows are not comfortable. The main building and restaurant is across the street, which is quite busy for crossing. Not much choice for breakfast, they serve standard plates. Not the best pancakes but my daughter loved the ham.

A Charming Place

Pros: It was charming and quaint. The food was excellent and the staff was friendly.

Cons: The stairs to the rooms was difficult with luggage for older or handicapped persons not able to do the stairs. The staff struggled with English and didn't understand everything we were saying, but we managed to get by. The highway is just outside the rooms and is quite busy and noisy at night. Other than that it was a good stay in a nice Inn on the river.

Pros: Location on the river, gardens. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good, breakfast room was very pleasant.

Cons: Need to cross the road to our room. Restaurant not open for dinner. Some information invited us to make a dinner reservation, while in reality it was not available.

Very much recommend for a family to stay.

Pros: There are several points I like. Its style, I love the look and feel of old hotel with lots of wood furniture. By old hotel I didn mean the one needed renovation but rather the style. Cleanliness. One of the place I stayed were I actually can walk bare feet in the room.

A very good stopover after a long day

Pros: The location was quiet and pleasant and the terrace restaurant was a pleasure. The main building was charming and breakfast excellent. Staff were all very friendly and welcoming.

Cons: The only down side was the loud air conditioning without which the room felt stuffy and airless.

It was an unexpectedly delightful overnight stay.

Pros: Breakfast and dinner were excellent in every regard, food, presentation, and service.

Pros: Chambre avec vue sur le canal Le calme , a part le voisin qui met en route son spa a 2h ...

Cons: Un Mariage le jour même.. Le spa n'était pas fonctionnel et la réception a dit qu'elle allait ouvrir la porte mais n'a jamais ouvert, j'imagine pour éviter les problèmes avec les convives ... on avait dans la chambre donc pas trop grave, la cheminée fonctionnait pas..

Beaux séjour relaxant entre amie

Pros: Nous adorons l’emplacement magnifique sur le bord de l’eau Les bâtiments de chambre au cachet ancestral tout simplement magnifique. Les employées à la réception sont d’une grande gentillesse. Chambre spacieuse et fonctionnelle.

Cons: Le spa intérieur ferme trop tôt. Nous y étions tranquille entre amie (2) le samedi soir 20h00 et une employer est venue nous demander de sortir pour ensuite le fermer, même choses pour celui à l’extérieur. Nous aurions préférer que le spa ferme vers 21h30 ou 22h00 … La soirée est longue dans notre chambre.

Très confortable

Pros: La courtoisie du personnel, ainsi que le cade de l’auberge étaient parfait

Cons: Que les chambres soient de l’autre côté de la rue
